The victim of vandals in Calne has said she is livid after seven vehicles were damaged on Thursday night.

Natasha Lear, 19, had her Audi A3 keyed while it was parked outside her home in Peregrine Court but vehicles were also damaged in Ridgemead, Duncan Street, Grayling Close and Buzzard Road.

Police have appealed for witnesses after extensive damage was caused by someone using a sharp implement.

Miss Lear said: “I was absolutely livid. I was woken up about 7.30am and my heart just sank.

“How would they feel if I threw a brick through their windows?

“I don’t feel safe. I’ve lived here for eight years and we have never had anything like it before.

“I don’t know what would go through someone’s mind to do something like this.”

All seven vehicles have been scratched the entire length of the vehicle covering several body panels and bonnets causing several thousand pounds worth of damage.

One vehicle even had obscene wording scratched into the bonnet.

PCSO Mark Cook of the Calne Police Team said: “I am speechless as to why anyone would take it upon themselves to do these mindless acts of damage.

“This damage has caused an extreme amount of distress.”

Calne Police are looking to speak to anyone with information relating to the recent damage.
