The Christmas special of The Masked Singer certainly got us all in the mood ahead of the new series starting this weekend, with more weird and wonderful costumes taking to the stage.

It was Partridge (In A Pear Tree) who won the festive title and was revealed as TV chef Ainsley Harriott.

The 66-year-old told host Joel Dommet: "The big hint was Can't Cook, Won't Cook... I loved it. The build up, learning the songs. I had a great, great day."

Lorraine Kelly, Sir Lenny Henry, Rob Brydon and Ellie Goulding will be appearing across the series.

Before Saturday's episode, comedian Mo revealed one of his own secrets and told The Sun he thinks one of the contestants this year is a close friend.

He explained: "I think early on sometimes you know someone and you’re just like, ‘I know that clue, I know who that person is, I’ve connected the dots’.

“You get an aura from them.

“So the one I think is my mate, I’m putting my house on the line for that one, I swear to you.

“If I don’t get that one right, then I’ll have to look for another place to sleep.

“Listen, I’m a man of my word. At any time of a bet, I make sure I’m a man of my word.

“Viewers will have to wait and see whether that ends up happening.”
