MINETY based lead singer of Jethro Tull Ian Anderson is set to thank fans for their support during a tour that kicks off in April.

An Evening With Jethro Tull will start on April 6 in Swindon's Wyvern Theatre and the tour will celebrate the history of Jethro Tull.

Mr Anderson, who lives on a farm in Minety with his wife Shona, was recently awarded an MBE in the New Years Honours for services to music.

The 29-date tour kick starts in Swindon and special guests, who will be past band members and musicians are set to perform their own songs as well as Jethro Tull songs.

The shows will focus on the first three albums with early favourites such as Serenade To A Cuckoo, My Sunday Feeling, Living In The Past, Bouree, and A new Day Yesterday.

Jethro Tull have sold over 60 million albums and performed over 2,600 shows in more than 40 countries for over 40 years.

They have performed in venues such as Bristol's Colston Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Empire Hall and will now being coming back to the West Country.
