Chippenham mayor Andy Phillips is calling for children to enter his Christmas card competition.
The contest is open to all children attending nursery, primary and secondary schools in Chippenham or who live in the town.
The winning design will be used on the mayor’s Christmas card on behalf of Chippenham Town Council.
The winner will also help the mayor switch on the town’s Christmas lights on November 23.
Coun Phillips said: “There is one simple aim – design a traditional-style Christmas card promoting some aspect of the town.”
Entries should be sent on A4 paper with the name, age, school, address and telephone number of the back.
Entries can be dropped into the red post box at the Community and Visitor Centre, or posted to Mary Laing, Mayor’s Secretary, Town Hall, High Street, Chippenham, SN15 3ER. The closing date for entries is Wednesday.
All entries will be displayed in the Yelde Hall in the run-up to Christmas.
