Devizes Passengers, which created detailed bus maps, were runners-up in Wiltshire Voluntary and Community Awards.
The group created the maps which are on bus shelters in the town. They are similar to the maps for the London Underground.
Detailed maps for bus services in Devizes were long overdue and the project received a grant from Devizes Area Board.
Devizes Passengers were runners-up in the partnership working category.
Jasper Selwyn, chairman of Devizes Passengers, said: “This recognition acknowledges the efforts by volunteers to make good the serious deficit in bus information.
“Our next step will be to produce a folded version of the map, for which there has been huge demand from the public already.”
