A motorcyclist was involved in an accident on the Bumper’s Farm roundabout today at 1pm.
The man, believed to be in his mid-thirties, received minor injuries in the collision, which happened as he swerved to avoid a silver Mercedes.
Police at the scene said the motorcyclist, who was riding a blue Triumph motorbike, chose to fall off the motorbike rather than hit the car.
A spokesperson from the Great Western Ambulance Service said: “The man received minor abrasions and cuts in the incident.
“An ambulance attended and was at the scene just after 1pm, but the man did not require hospital treatment.”
He added that the emergency services had received five calls as passing motorists saw the accident.
Any queues around the area are expected to be cleared shortly.
