A Devizes club that caters for victims of stroke has been given money raised at the funeral of a former member.
Jane Cowley, whose father Bill Clark was a member of the club, last week presented it with a camcorder, digital camera and various teaching aids.
The equipment had been bought with £350 which was donated by mourners at Mr Clark’s funeral at St James Church.
Mr Clark, who died in October last year, lived at Crammer Court in Church Walk. His daughter said: “Dad used to love coming to the club, but he wasn’t able to tell me what he had done here.
“So I thought the money raised at the funeral could be spent on a camera so that the relatives could see what members had been up to.”
The money was presented to Sarah Hobbs, who runs the support group that meets at the Nursteed Centre in Devizes each Thursday.
