The popular Seend Beer Festival is moving to October just for this year.

The event has grown each year and people from all over the country attend it.

Last year’s festival attracted about 800 people and raised in the region of £3,000 for the Seend Community Centre.

The event is normally held on the Sunday before the first bank holiday in May but this year it will be on October 15.

From next year the organisers intend it to return to May but starting this year the event will be advance ticket only.

Richard Todhunter, one of the organisers, said: “The festival was getting big and unwieldy. We have decided to make it all ticket and a bit smaller. A couple of our volunteers want to be less involved so we will be looking for more volunteers.

“Because it is a good fund-raiser for the community centre we didn’t want to stop it altogether. Every year has been a great success financially and it’s always been an enjoyable event for the vast majority of people.”

Details of tickets will be put on the website in due course, go to www.seendbeerfestival.co.uk
