CHIPPENHAM’S Highlights were like the cats who got the cream with their new pantomime Puss in Boots, which took to the stage recently.

Actors aged five to 50 starred in the classic show about about a cat who uses trickery and deceit to gain power, wealth, and the hand of a princess in marriage for his penniless and low-born master.

The pantomime was performed at the Neeld Hall for one week only.

Sarah-Jane Barsdley, whose sixyear- old son Mackenzie is in the show, said: “It’s a fun week for everybody.

“It’s a really nice way for families to work together on producing something. My sister has been in Highlights since she was three, and she’s 26 now, and my dad works on the lights. It’s just a fun way for everyone in the community to get involved and have some fun. There’s something for all the family with this show.”
