There was an excellent letter from David Rowlands in the January 27 issue, reference Station Hill, Chippenham. He could have added that over the past decade most traders have also had shopfronts damaged.
One proprietor at the bottom of the hill was told by the police that they were aware who was resposible, but would not take it any further. No doubt his insurance premium increased.
On page 7 of this issue is a report that KFC could be about to open a drive-through restaurant at Bath Road, Chippenham. The last business needed within the boundary is another takeaway. What are town planners doing?
