Readers who thought that the conclusion of jungle drums affair is the end of the matter are wrong.

It will continue in another guise for Mrs Carr and her ilk are part of a monstrous regiment relentlessly searching for an ‘ism’ or a ‘phobia’ to expose.

So sure are they of themselves that anything, however insignificant, is subject to investigation in the sacred name of equality.

No one is immune from their probing. All language is monitored and even schoolchildren are now recorded for making apparent homophobic or racist playground remarks.

Apologies are not enough for the heretic must be forced to pay for their heinous crime. They care little for the Anna Farquhars of the world as they besmirch their reputations, drag them through the public square and often leave them to the mercies of the courts. Self-appointed, they and only they, are the guardians of the eternal truths.

No one can challenge them. They are above reason, so sure are they of their divine cause.

They want us all to hold their views and brook no dissenters. Authorities hasten to do their bidding.

And meanwhile they are happy in the knowledge that another unbeliever has been exposed and that one day the world will be free from all ‘isms’ and equality and diversity will reign supreme.
