Delighted children tucked into chocolate brownies and flapjacks from Mark Maurice’s ready-meals store in Marlborough – all in the cause of art and education.
Mr Maurice has volunteered his business for the Marlborough Children’s Arts Festival in April when drawings, paintings and sculptures by children from 16 primary schools in the area will be based on the produce sold locally.
Easton Royal Primary School’s project is food, and to give the children some idea of the art they will be producing, they visited his shop on Tuesday.
School administrator Alison Shaughnessy said the children were thrilled to be given chocolate brownies and flapjack to eat in the shop – and chicken curry to take away.
