Students at Abbeyfield School in Chippenham have planted trees to mark their ties with a school in the Gambia.
The alders, Scots pine and cherry trees were planted during a visit by Lamin Bojang, principal of Mahaad Secondary School in the Gambia.
Humanities teacher Matt Palmer, co-ordinator of Global Schools at Abbeyfield, said the trees were planted to reflect the planting of an orchard in the Gambia, where pupils grow fruit to eat and sell.
Year 12 pupils will be visiting the Gambian school in April.
