Former RAF serviceman Gerwyn Thomas is trying to locate his former comrade Stuart Prout, from Urchfont near Devizes.
Mr Thomas has organised a reunion for former 221 entry craft apprentices who have not seen each other for several decades.
The reunion is for apprentices who served at RAF Halton, Aylesbury, from March 1971 to March 1973.
Mr Thomas, of Bristol, has organised the reunion from March 4-6 in Wendover, Buckinghamshire.
It is being done in association with the website Forces Reunited.
He said: “The reunion is to celebrate the 40th anniversary of joining up.
“All the 221 entry craft apprentices, their wives and partners, are most welcome to attend.
“So far there are over 30 ex-apprentices attending, travelling from all over the UK and we are hoping to find even more of our former colleagues.”
