Council officers have moved out of the County Hall in Trowbridge as part of a £24m redevelopment of the site.
Despite huge cuts in government grants to Wiltshire Council, the redevelopment is still going ahead. More than 400 staff have moved to the former George Ward school in Melksham, which has been renamed Shurnhold.
A further 100 staff have been moved from other sites including Monkton Park in Chippenham and Browfort in Devizes - which are both undergoing some refurbishment.
Laura Wilson, project officer responsible for the changes, said: “We will still have a public access area at all of the sites.”
The council welcomed the good news last week that the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) cash that was used to construct the Monkton Park site has finally been paid off, saving the council over £200,000 per year.
