St Francis School pupils Todd Benney and and Letti Bromovsky, who were both airlifted to hospital in separate incidents, have handed over a cheque for £1,200 to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

The money was part of the proceeds of the school’s Christmas Fair held last November.

It was organised by pupils with the help of parents Sally Matton and Caroline Findlay.

Mrs Matton and Mrs Findlay, Todd and Letti gave the cheque to paramedic Jo Munday at a ceremony at the school.

Todd was injured in a road accident outside Marlborough Rugby Club and was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

Letti was taken to hospital by the air ambulance after she suffered an asthma attack during a cross country run.

Also present was Sarah Soar, former chairman of St Francis governors, who was airlifted to hospital after she was injured in an accident last year.

The Christmas fair last November raised a total of £3,600, with two thirds going to school funds and the remainder to the air ambulance appeal.

One third of the proceeds of this year’s Christmas fair, which will take place on November 10, will also be donated to the air ambulance appeal.

The fair was held in the Bouverie Hall in Pewsey and featured more than 35 stalls.
