I see that both both our local MPs (Mr Gray and Mr Hames) voted in favour of the government’s plans to sell off our forests. I am astonished. My family regularly enjoys Westonbirt and the Forest of Dean. They are ours and we don’t want them lost to private hands. I don’t know anyone who thinks it’s a good idea. It won’t raise any money but will result in jobs lost and more subsidy for private owners and we’ll lose the right to enjoy them. So why did they vote for it? Maybe they would like to explain themselves.
