Artistic director Nicholas Keyworth is leaving The Pound arts centre in Corsham after landing a top job in London.
Mr Keyworth, who is also a Corsham town councillor, has taken over as the Chief Examiner of Music for Trinity College London, one of the world’s leading examining boards.
The 50-year-old completed his last day at the arts centre last Monday but said he will reprise his role as artistic director for the Corsham Festival in June for one week only.
The Pound managing director Ian Martin said: “Nick and I started out in 1999 when we took over the running of the festival and it really was the beginning of a journey.
“It has gone from something that was part-time to a significant part of our lives and Nick’s contribution at the arts centre has been tremendous.
“He will be missed among the team but we wish him all the best in his new job.”
