This year is the 20th Adult Learners’ Week. Since 1992 the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) has celebrated the outstanding achievements of thousands of remarkable adults who have transformed their lives through learning.
Whether it’s to start a new career, help their children at school or discover a hidden talent, every year we come across some truly staggering stories that inspire other adults to improve their own lives through learning.
Nominations for this year’s awards are open until Friday January 28 2011. Give your learners, or someone you know, the recognition they deserve for their incredible learning achievements. More details are available by calling NIACE on (0116) 204 4200 or at www.alw.org.uk.
Everyone nominated for an award receives a certificate.
