I am doing family research on my wife’s nan, Lilian Mary Patten (nee Russ).
I am looking for information about her time in Marlborough.
She was born in Marlborough in 1880. She married in Marlborough in 1911 and then moved to London. Tragedy overtook her and contact with her family was lost.
Recently we found that in 1962 she was back living with her sister Florence Roff (nee Russ) in Cherry Orchard, Marlborough.
She died on April 16, 1971 in Northleach Hospital, Cirencester. Her address at that time was Coombe End House, Marlborough.
We hope that your archive may hold some information of her obituary or perhaps her time at Coombe End House, possibly a photo of an event there in which she may have appeared as a resident.
