* Saturday, November 20: The four Rotary Clubs of Swindon are organising the fourth annual Last Night of the Proms at the Wyvern Theatre. The Waterloo Band of the Rifles, soloist Lynn Hawkins and Swindon Young Musicians will perform. Tickets are £16, available from the Wyvern on (01793) 524481 or online via www.wyverntheatre.org.uk
* Sunday, November 28: Chris Bew from Westbury and friends will be taking part in a 100-mile walk from Glasgow to Ben Nevis. Donations can be made at Etc Etc in White Hart Yard, Trowbridge.
* Friday, December 3: Frankie Martin will sing at the Cross Keys at Great Bedwyn from 9pm. Tickets costing £6 are available from the pub.
* Saturday, December 3 and 4: The Calne Players and Sainsbury’s are hosting a murder mystery. The Christmas Supper will be performed at Marden House on December 3 and at Wansdyke School, Devizes on December 4.
Tickets for The Christmas Supper cost £10 and are available from the kiosk in Sainsbury’s.
