Olympic gold medallist Tom James has inspired a challenge at St Mary’s Sports Centre for aspiring rowers.
The man and woman who make the best time rowing 2,000 metres will both win a year’s membership to the school sports centre, worth £415.
Mr James will be giving a talk on his experiences at the school on October 5, the date the challenge will end.
For anyone who thinks they can take on the Olympian, the challenge opens this week. Membership includes use of the swimming pool, fitness suite and fitness classes.
