JULY is a vital month for the Swindon Robins with their attentions being centred on three fronts.

Apart from six Premier League matches in which they will be looking to climb up the table they will also be racing in two cup competitions.

The Swindon Soft Water Robins will be seeking this month to keep their hopes of glory alive and the chance of some silverware in both the Premier Trophy and Knock Out Cup.

In the latter competition they meet Berwick Bandits next week in the two legs of their quarter-final tie.

But Wednesday night (July 5) the Robins' attentions will be focused on the Premier Trophy when they travel to Hull to face the Vikings in the first leg of their semi-final. The return is set for Blunsdon on Thursday, July 27.

Swindon qualified for the semi-finals as winners of the southern section of the competition while Hull earned a semi-final spot as runners-up in the northern section to Workington.

Swindon and Hull have already met once this season. That was at Blunsdon in the league when Robins led from heat three and ran-out worthy 50-42 victors.

Swindon team manager Jed Stone said: It will be a very tough meeting for us although we beat them at home.

Hopefully the good win over Sheffield on Sunday will have boosted the teams confidence and they will perform to their potential.
