WEARING a red Ferrari suit and holding drum sticks aloft, Bongo Massive, the Prodigy's percussionist, is poised to strike.

Music resounds from the DJ's box and like a coiled snake the drummer starts to play.

The crowd is stunned into silence, soaking up the energy, and vivacity of the set.

Sometimes moving at lightening speed the 30-year-old drummer, whose real name is Robin Berlyn, keeps the crowd in the palm of his hand as the beat gathers momentum.

This is not Wembley, or even a trendy London bar this is Long's Bar, which is found on Swindon's Victoria Road. As part of the bar's Deephaasfunk night it holds every Sunday, Bongo Massive came along to accompany the DJ with his 22 piece drum set.

Resident DJ Smalley, said: I thought this was fantastic as he is such a good percussionist and it is quite a scoop for us as he plays with the Prodigy as well as doing his own stuff.

Deephaasfunk usually starts quite mellowly, but as the evening goes on, we pump up the music and it turns into a regular party. We always have a good crowd here.

Bongo Massive has been playing with the Prodigy, who have released songs such as Firestarter and No Good (Start the Dance), for their latest gigs.
