MALMESBURY Community Hospital will be fully operational again next week when a £90,000 refurbishment project to upgrade patient facilities is completed.
One of the hospital's three wards was closed when the revamp started in April.
The improvement work was funded by Wiltshire and Swindon Health Care, which is a National Health Services Trust.
Senior sister in charge of the wards, Chris Mogford, said the project had involved major improvements to the hospital's washing and toilet facilities, including the installation of a shower.
The improvements also mean the hospital can now provide single-sex facilities for all patients.
Sister Mogford said: This will give patients more privacy and help us to better respect their dignity, in line with the standards outlined in the national Patients' Charter.
Dignity, privacy and confidentiality form the essential cornerstones of the charter.
The project also upgraded the hospital's palliative and terminal care areas.
