COFFEE and computers are on the menu at Chippenham's first Internet cafe.
The Beaten Track Cafe has just opened at the railway station and will offer all members of the community a convenient place to surf the net, check their e-mails and find out more about the World Wide Web, while enjoying a drink in a relaxing environment.
Manageress Liz Warner says is the cafe just what Chippenham needs. There are so many people who would like to use the Internet as an information database but don't have access to it at home or might not be confident about using computers, she said.
All our staff are computer literate and if anyone is worried about it or unsure, we can help them find their feet.
Miss Warner is one of four computer-qualified staff at the cafe.
The cafe has an aluminium-floored bar area and a lounge area with four computer terminals and arm chairs.
It is hoped the computers will be up and running by tomorrow. Opening hours will be 5.30am to 10pm.
