MARLBOROUGH jeweller David Dudley, who was formerly a professional singer, is taking to the stage again in a concert at Salisbury.
The tenor, who appeared in numerous West End musicals and shows will be featuring in a concert in Salisbury Cathedral on Saturday, July 8, presented by the Wiltshire Support group of the Hope and Home Charity.
It helps provide homes and rehabilitation for children who are victims of war and disaster.
Mr Dudley, whose shop is in the High Street, has decided to re-launch his music career while keeping his successful business running.
He said: I used to do a great deal but shop work got in the way.
The charity gala concert will also feature the Band of The Honourable Artillery Company, the Ringwood Pipe Band, Barry Male Voice Choir, the Stagecoach Theatre Arts Choir, the Williams family at the piano and the cathedral organ played by Simon Lole.
Mr Dudley, who will be accompanied by Mr Lole, will be singing the Toreador song from Carmen and, with the backing of the Honourable Artillery Company, a medley from Les Miserables.
