CONTROVERSIAL plans to build 43 houses and two new school buildings in the grounds of Hardenhuish School will come before North Wiltshire District Council's Chippenham area committee for a second time on Monday, July 10.
Planning officers recommended refusing the plans because of the impact on historic Hardenhuish House but school staff and governors say sale of the land for housing will fund the school's new facilities, and classrooms for Kings Lodge primary school and a playing field for St Nicholas' school.
