IT IS carnival time in and around Swindon.
Wroughton Carnival with its grand carnival procession and many weekend events is rounded off Saturday and Sunday, July 8 and 9.
The Swindon Afro-Caribbean Community Association has its Carnival 2000 at Buckhurst Park in Walcot , Swindon, the same weekend.
There is a stage show with Nerious Joseph and Pamela Maynard and a talent show for anyone aged eight upwards.
Tasty titbits are on offer from Caribbean, Chinese, Indian and Italian food stalls. There are cultural craft stalls and a steel band providing the music.
A bouncy castle, a fun fair and fancy dress competition for the youngsters has also been set up.
