MORE than 20 young drivers were given a hard-hitting talk on road safety by police and the father of death crash driver Andy Musselwhite.

Father John Musselwhite, said: We lost Andrew a month ago now but at times it still feels like yesterday.

The evening the police knocked at the door is a memory I will carry round for a long time.

The talk, which was organised following 21-year-old Andy's death, was attended by other young car enthusiasts as well as his friends and family.

Andy, who was a welder fitter, is understood to have not been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

He died from head injuries after he was thrown through the front window of his Ford Orion on June 2.

Mr Musselwhite, of Sleight Lane, Devizes, said: We have lost Andrew and that is something we will have to get used to. I just hope something can be learnt from this talk.

The event, which was held at police headquarters on Sunday, July 32, attracted more than 30 people.

Devizes-based traffic officer PC Ian Soulsby, who gave the talk, said officers have been visiting schools as part of a pilot project to educate young drivers in road safety.
