IT is a relief that Swindon Poppy Appeal organiser Alan Baker has been offered a new base and storage space for poppies, trays, wreaths and collecting tins.
It's even more wonderful that so many people care about the welfare of ex-servicemen that the offer from Mark Fisher of premises at Rushey Platt was just one of 20 which Alan, ex-sailor and veteran TA soldier, received.
We are delighted this year's Poppy Appeal is safe. Let's hope it will be a record-breaker.
