RUGBY: MINETY have started pre-season training.
Having survived their first season in the top division of the Berkshire, Dorset and Wiltshire league, Minety are determined to do even better in the newly revised Dorset and Wiltshire Division One.
Skipper Charlie Gawthropp said: We played some good rugby last season against a high standard of opposition. We were a bit inconsistent at times and were unlucky to lose some tight fixtures, but we were a hard team to beat.
"The challenge this year is to be just that bit more consistent. The club are keen to welcome new players.
Training is every Tuesday at 7pm at Minety playing fields, starting on July 11. For further details contact Charlie Gawthropp (01666) 510339.
