THREE-DAY eventing: A number of changes have been included in this year's Doubleprint British Open Championships at Gatcombe from August 4 to 6, the final outing for Britain's potential three-day event Olympic competitors.
Course designer Captain Mark Phillips admits to having had this in mind when designing the course. I have tried to minimise the effect of the hills on the Sidney horses. I intend to give riders a real confidence boost before Sidney, he said.
After the championships the British 12-long listed horses, including Bishopstone based Rodney Powell's Flintstone, will go into quarantine.
