SOUTH West Schools' champion Andrew Fulford heads a powerful Wiltshire team for this weekend's English Schools' Track and Field Championships at Sheffield's Don Valley Stadium.

The 18-year-old North Star College student is one of the county's best hopes of a medal and goes into the championships in excellent form.

His South West victory at Exeter last week was his third major title of the summer having already won the West of England Clubs' title in a personal best 1 mins 52.8 secs and then the South of England U20s title and he's sure to be among the front-runners for the top prize.

Fellow Swindon Harrier Andrew Sherman of Ridgeway School has also been picked for the 800m.

Swindon's New College Katherine Silto should go well in the triple jump.
