THE sponsored parachute jumps by the Reverend Robin Cardwell and his churchwarden David Gent had to be called off owing to gusting wind speeds exceeding 20 knots.
Subject to weather conditions, the jumps will now take place tomorrow at about noon.
The event has been arranged to raise funds for roof repairs at St Andrew's Church, Wanborough. The jumps are taking place at Redlands Farm in Lower Wanborough.
Spectators are welcome to witness the event and there is an entry fee of £1 for adults, which will go towards the appeal. Light refreshments will be available.
