Melksham Town's long unbeaten run will be severely threatened when they travel to Taunton in the Premier Division tomorrow.

Robbie Lardner's in-form side have won nine and drawn three of their last 12 games.

But a trip to the league champions and FA Vase holders will provide Town's toughest test to date.

"Taunton are still the benchmark in this league," said player-boss Lardner.

"Needless to say, we will have to play very well to get anything from the game.

"But we will certainly give it a go."

Lardner has a full complement of players at his disposal, and his only selection dilemma will be whether to recall striker Matty Messenger at his own expense in the forward line.

Melksham's local Premier Division rivals Devizes Town are not in action this weekend.

In Division One, high-flying Corsham Town host Shepton Mallet.

"It should be a tough game," said manager Mark Godley.

"We're going well and so are they, but I'm hopeful that we can get a result."

Corsham's only absentee is defensive stalwart Brian Kayll who has work commitments. Tom Weeks will be drafted into the squad.

Calne Town travel to Exmouth with renewed confidence after a good midweek point against Weston St Johns.

Calne were beaten 3-0 by Exmouth just a fortnight ago, so Paul Rankin's side will look to exact some revenge in tomorrow's return fixture.

Rankin is still without long-term absentees Jamie Butler, Craig Tuck and Simon Brey, but the Calne boss is closing in on Corsham's Andy Wileman and Supermarine's Doug Imrie as he attempts to bolster his squad.
