Why give up the Trowbridge site?

I AM a Devizes resident who strongly supports the building of a new record office at Trowbridge. The hard facts for Trowbridge are so overwhelming that after attending the open part of the meeting last week, it is apparent the pro-Devizes campaigners and management at County Hall have spun the facts and figures. It is obvious the County Council is intent on clearing the site at Trowbridge for it to be sold, ignoring the cost of purchasing land at Devizes. Why give up the Trowbridge site? The money saved could be put towards running the new record office. People who visit record offices require easy access and transport facilities, which Trowbridge offers.
