TWO men are due to be sentenced by North West Wiltshire magistrates next month for selling suspected fake goods.

Lee Reginald Hawken, of Wotton under Edge, Gloucestershire, and Barry Slocombe, of Thornhills, Bristol, each pleaded guilty to a dozen offences under the Trade Marks Act 1994.

At Trowbridge on April 22, Hawken admitted selling items at a car boot sale on a dairy farm at Dauntsey, near Chippenham, on August 5, stamped with a sign which could be mistaken for a registered trademark. The items included six videos and CD games.

Slocombe admitted selling similar items at the same sale in June last year.

In a raid Wiltshire County Council's trading standards officers seized baseball caps, sunglasses and sports socks, as well as videos and computer games.

Both cases were adjourned by magistrates to May 20 when Hawken and Slocombe will appear at court in Chippenham for sentencing.
