SHOWJUMPING legend David Broome was in south Wiltshire last Friday at the inauguration of a new outdoor riding arena.
Invited by Gerry Dunne, owner of Grovely riding school, Wilton, David passed on his expertise to groups of selected riders as he schooled them.
Ms Dunne's son Danny (14) regularly receives training from David at his Chepstow showjumping centre and she said: "I thought I would ask David here as guest of honour for the day."
David, who was winning the world's top showjumping prizes from the 1960s onwards with horses like Wildfire and Mister Softee, said: "I am pleased to be at Grovely, to help where I can, although I must admit I didn't realise that Wilton was so far from the M4!"
