SKURRAY'S WILTSHIRE LEAGUE: TOP game in the Junior Division was at Wroughton, where the home side ruined Wootton Bassett United's hopes of going through the season undefeated, beating them 3-0.

Bassett had gone 30 games with just four matches to play before the defeat.

In a fiery first half, both sides had a player sent off, and Tom Dingle gave Wroughton a 1-0 interval lead.

In the second half, the home side scored two further goals from Glenn Armstrong to make sure of victory and keep the title race open.

Marlborough Town Reserves completed a good season with a 5-0 win over Cricklade Reserves, with goals coming from Alan Harvey, Brad Mildon, Matt Farrell, Nick Cripps and Jonathan Maslen.

Goals from John Dart (2), Justin Varndell (2) and Mike Ktenas gave Dunbar Westside Reserves a 5-2 win over Purton A, Adam Humphries and Stuart Cole on target for the visitors.

Ferndale Rodbourne, fourth in the table, gained a 4-0 away success over Wootton Bassett A, Stuart Marriot, Ben Dickens, Willie McMahon and Craig Dobson the scorers.

There were plenty of goals at Minety, where the home side ran out winners by eight goals to four, with Graham Reid (4), Tony Hammersley (2), Graham Smedley and Colin Henderson on the scoresheet for the home side and Gary Timberlake (2), Steve Hendry and Ian Merry for Sporting.

In the Premier Division, Marlborough Town gained their first victory since November when they beat Cricklade Town on their own ground by 3-2.

Cricklade got off to a good start, taking a two goal lead with strikes from Matty Gleed and Vince Macken, the visitors pulling a goal back just before the break from a Wayne Presley header.

After the interval, Marlborough began to look the stronger side, and Danny Sly levelled the scores soon after the restart, and Wayne Presley scored the winner in the closing stages.

Local rivals Pewsey Vale Reserves and Devizes Town Reserves shared the points in a 2-2 draw.

Tom Adams and Andy Olsen gave Pewsey a 2-0 interval lead, Andy Davis and Justin Lyle replying for Devizes in the second half.

Bottom of the Intermediate Division Calne Town Reserves moved up a place in the table after defeating Wanborough United by 3-1 on their own ground, with Gary Spencer netting for the home side, and Ronnie Kallmeier scoring all three for Calne.

Sherston, who ruined Blunsdon United's championship celebrations last weekend, almost did the same for second placed Stratton Crosslink Reserves holding the home side to another score draw.

Stratton now have to win their last two matches to pip Blunsdon for the title.
