YOUTH FOOTBALL: FC CHIPPENHAM have clinched the championship of the under 16s Blue Division of the Wiltshire Times and News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League.

They beat title rivals Croft Juniors 2-0 in a title decider on Sunday.

Both sides battled against the wind but it was Chippenham who had the edge, going 1-0 ahead with a goal from Robbie Ivermee.

Croft pushed for the equaliser in the second half but were held back and Ricky Hulbert scored a second to make sure of the title.

Under 16s Red Division

CORSHAM Boys started their game against visitors Amesbury Juniors needing just one point to clinch the title, but made sure by taking all three.

In sometimes atrocious conditions, Corsham took the game to in-form Amesbury and could have gone in at half-time three or four ahead, but just had the one goal lead thanks to Scott Lye.

The second half was a case of restricting Amesbury to a couple of long range efforts and with that Corsham comfortably held on to clinch the title.

There was a tremendous defensive performance by Luke Denham of Corsham.

Following a tremendous performance by home side Cricklade against FC Chippenham B, Cricklade are this season's runners up. In a hard fought match Cricklade were victorious with a final score of 5-3. Ben Carter (3), Darren Coleman and Paul Kennedy scored for Cricklade.

Under 14s Blue Division

THE title will probably be decided in this week's clash between the top two teams, Trowbridge Town Youth and Castle Combe Colts, after both went home three points richer on Sunday.

Top of the table Trowbridge Town Youth ran out 3-1 winners against local rivals Trowbridge Wanderers.

Castle Combe travelled to Shaw to further their championship hopes and were rewarded with a 3-1 win, with Luke Zammit scoring for Shaw.

Under 15s Red Division

CORSHAM Boys and Shaw and Whitley moved three points closer to success, with Corsham running out 6-0 winners away to Pewsey Vale and Shaw running out 2-0 winners away to Amesbury Juniors.

Corsham gave a solid team performance, leading by 3-0 at the break then going on to double this lead at the final whistle.

James Ford (3), Shane Mitchell, Dean Brookman and Chris Andrews scored for Corsham.

Special praise was given by the Corsham manager to the Pewsey goalkeeper for his excellent performance, including making several point blank saves.

Trowbridge Town Youth 2nds and Malmesbury Youth played their final game of the season.

Malmesbury were the stronger in the first half, going in 2-0 up. Trowbridge pushed to get back into the game from the onset of the second half and were rewarded with a fine strike from Adam Currie.

Daniel King brought the game level before Currie completed his hat-trick and with one from Dan Fortune with just five minutes to go the game ended 5-2 to Trowbridge.

Under 13s

BRADFORD on Avon travelled to Corsham United and came away with a 9-1 win.

Nick Medin led the way with a hat-trick, as Josh Hall (2), David Blagborough (2), Craig Markham and Cerys Brocklehurst also found the net, with Jake Marshall scoring the Corsham consolation goal.

Devizes Town saw off the challenge of a gallant Trowbridge Wanderers following a hat-trick from Tom Slater and a single from Ricky Franklin as they registered a 4-0 victory.

Warminster Hornets completed their fixtures with a home game against Corsham United. Iain Carr, Scott Allen and Tim Arnold scored the goals in a 3-1 win, with Jake Marshall grabbing the visitors' reply to ensure a top five finish in their first season with the league.

Chippenham Town and Devizes Town shared the points and six goals in a thriller. Daniel Clements and Ritchie Stone (2) scored for the hosts, with Luke Hopper, Daniel Sloane and Tom Slater replying as both sides entertained the crowd, with the result in doubt right up to the final whistle.

Melksham Park and Corsham Boys shared the points in an entertaining 2-2 draw. Danny Kovacs and Matthew Humphries scored for Melksham, with Nick Inglis and Jimmy Lascelles grabbing the Corsham goals.

Bradford on Avon made it a successful few days when they followed up their win at Corsham with a 10-1 win at Pewsey Vale. James Brady scored the Pewsey consolation goal.

South Newton and Wishford hit the largest total of the day when they over-ran home side Castle Combe Colts by 28-0.

Under 12s

WESTBURY Youth B returned to league action after a lengthy spell without a fixture to entertain Crescent Park Rangers, and despite Matthew Mead finding the net on four occasions the visitors replied with a nap hand to grab the points in a nine goal thriller.

Under 11s

THE midweek fixtures saw Chippenham Town underline their push for silverware when they played hosts to Devizes Town.

Doubles from both Jamie Harlow and David Brown ensured a 4-0 victory that keeps their challenge on course.

Warminster Highbury beat Castle Combe Colts White 6-1.

Melksham Park hosted Chippenham Town Rangers and coasted to an 8-0 victory, with goals from Danny Griffith (5), Ethan Cox (2) and Lee Fellows.

Goals from Craig Berry, Edward Whipp and Ollie Harris tipped the scales in favour of FC Chippenham as they edged out Westbury Youth 3-2.

White Horse Leisure got into their stride early on against visiting Bradford on Avon and took the lead through John Hemmings. The lead was short-lived however as the visitors scored regularly through Chris Tonkiss (3), Tom Chapman (2), Henry Mander, Jed Osborne and Will Thomas to generate an 8-1 win that would have been more but for some awesome goalkeeping by the home goalkeeper that brought nothing but praise from the Bradford manager.
