DEVIZES Police are appealing for witnesses after seven cars were attacked on the forecourt of Wiltshire Auto Market at the Garden Trading Estate on London Road, Devizes, at the weekend.
Some time on Sunday night, damage was caused to the vehicles. Two were stolen and one is still missing.
An Austin Metro, registration number G642 MMW, was taken together with a white Peugeot 205. The Peugeot was later found abandoned some distance away.
A number of vehicles were broken into a had their steering columns and ignition barrels damaged in an apparent attempt to hot wire them.
These included a Rover Metro, a Ford Sierra 4x4, a Ford Fiesta XR2, a Rover Vitesse and a Vauxhall Nova.
Anyone aware of any activity at the car dealership on Sunday night or the early hours of Monday morning is asked to contact WPC Nikki Burt at Devizes police station on (01380) 722141.
