MEMBERS of Marlborough Floral Club are celebrating the news that they have been chosen to mount a display at the world's most famous floral event, the annual Chelsea Flower Show later this month.
The Marlborough club, which has about 50 members and meets at the Mildenhall Village Hall is a member of the National Association of Flower Arranging Societies which holds a ballot each year to see who will prepare its displays for the Chelsea show.
It is to put on display for the first two days of the show, May 21 and 22.
Chairman Ruth Hodgson said the club was looking for sponsorship because of the cost of taking part.
She said: "It will cost £1,000 for the flowers, the stands and for travelling."
Offers of sponsorship should be made to Mrs Hodgson (01672) 514176.
