LOOKING at the recent letters in the Evening Advertiser, I can only say Mr Reid, aged 35, has only brought this trouble on his own head.

He said: "We turned away some 200 people on the first night," myself I am not sure but how many people could Vadims take on any night?

Myself and my wife plus a friend, some of the Vadims crowd that Mr Reid is aiming at, were turned away on Saturday night, when my wife asked: "If I was a new customer what is the new criteria?"

She did not get an answer. So does that say they do not know or did not want to tell? He does not want the old Vadims crowd in as we do not fit his criteria. Does this mean the other pubs and clubs in Swindon have to put up with the old Vadims crowd, well more money for them I say?

I am all for new changes in Swindon. It is good to see people investing in the town and for the people of Swindon. If the Vadims crowd do not fit his criteria, what does he think we are?

Who is Mr Reid to judge me, my wife or the old Vadims crowd? I felt insulted that I or the rest of the Vadims crowd do not fit his modern or trendy criteria. Or is it an age thing? Myself, I work full time in Swindon, and am also a black belt martial arts instructor.

As Mr Reid runs the Brunel Rooms as well, if in the near future he does upgrade the Brunel Rooms will he tell the Brunel regulars you are not getting in? If he was honest he would be more clear to tell the old Vadims crowd himself, then maybe the doormen might have taken least levels of verbal and physical abuse. So Mr Reid don't try and be a great man, just be a man and tell the people of Swindon your honest opinion of the Vadims crowd and set the record straight.
