HOW right Peter Bates is to highlight the plight of Frank Barrett. But let's not forget there was also the case of Michael Arron who received a two year custodial sentence for taking the law into his own hands (can you blame him), also the pensioner who committed suicide.

All three of these cases were attributed to ball games being played in the street outside their homes. When are the authorities going to do something about this anti-social menace?

I have been subjected to this treatment over a number of years and it is still continuing.

So despite the publicity regarding the above cases I have not witnessed any shame or sympathy. Just the opposite which the parents of these teenagers (13 & 17 year olds) condone and even openly encourage this anti-social activity hereby bringing up their children to have no respect for other people's feelings or property.

When they instruct their children to carry on doing what you are doing no one can do anything about it. Then it is they Mr Reeve (Adver Mar 25) who are the mindless morons.

What a sad sick society they are breeding but it may well come back to haunt them for what you sow so shall you reap, and yes Mr Reeve the parents should be held responsible and brought before the courts and made to pay for lack of parental control.

This is why there are problems within the schools because of the total lack of discipline and respect. It is the parents who are responsible for much of the yob culture and teenage delinquency sweeping Britain. By the way the parents I have approached regarding the problems that I have experienced do I am sure believe that anti-social is a distant relative.

Incidentally there is a playing field only three minutes walk away from where I live.
