DANCING queens will top the bill in a light-hearted look at 1,000 years of royalty this weekend.
Farleigh Hungerford Castle is the venue for Sunday's production of Kings and Queens of England staged by the Big Adventure Theatre Company and featuring history, comedy and song.
The action begins at the Battle of Hastings in 1066 and progresses through the Wars of the Roses to Henry VIII dancing a samba with his six wives.
The action moves on to a globetrotting Elizabeth I and a music hall presentation of Queen Victoria's reign, finishing with a 21st-century finale celebrating the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
The show starts at midday and admission is £2.80 for adults, £2 for concessions, £1.40 for children and under fives are admitted free. Further details are available on (01225) 754026.
