ONCE AGAIN the county council has failed in bringing forward suitable plans for Melksham Town Bridge traffic calming scheme.
When Cllr Angie Barker and myself took this matter to a meeting of the county council earlier this year we were promised new plans would include a crossing with wheelchair-friendly access. The county council has failed in the first scheme and unless they carry out full consultation they will fail with so-called improvements they are bringing forward.
TERRY CHIVERS,
County Councillor,
St Margaret's Court,
Bradford on Avon.
