CHILDREN from three village primary schools took to the netball court and football pitch on Wednesday to show their talent.

The youngsters were taking part in the annual tournament between West Ashton School, St Mary's in Steeple Ashton and Keevil School.

Tony Kirk, headteacher of St Mary's School, Steeple Ashton, said the event was enjoyable both for the children taking part and the parents watching.

He said: "The children always look forward to it and it is played in a good spirit."

West Ashton won both the football and netball tournaments.
