MURDER TRIAL: KILLER brothers Jason Lee and Timothy Seviour spent most of their young lives in care.

Frequently moving between foster homes, it wasn't until Lee moved in with Kevin York that he began to spiral dangerously out of control.

Both brothers originally lived in Devonshire Place, Melksham with their mother and two older brothers Shane and Kevin.

When their mother left them in the care of their brothers, the boys were taken into care.

Placed in separate foster homes, Lee eventually moved in with Kevin York in 1994.

Seviour moved to a foster home in Bradford on Avon and was reunited with his brother for a short time but moved back to Aylesbury to be with his mother.

Seviour was joined by his brother in 1997, when they rented a flat, but Lee decided to move back in with Mr York.

Returning to Melksham in February 2001, Seviour moved in with his grandma and again became close to Lee, often visiting him at Mr York's house and going on drinking binges with him.

It was revealed in court how the boys' father committed suicide after murdering their step-mum, which only pushed Lee and Seviour further down the road to murder.

After a brief ten day sexual relationship with Lizzie Cooper, Seviour moved in with new girlfriend Melissa Gibbings just weeks before the murder.

Joined by Lee, the two brothers formed their plan to confront Mr York at his home with knives.

Taking a cocktail of drink and drugs on the day, the plan quickly spiralled out of control resulting in the death of Miss Cooper.

They now face a long stretch in prison after being convicted of murder and attempted murder.
