Swindon's National Monuments Record Centre in Swindon is displaying an exhibition of photographs with a difference.
It features a series of pictures of ordinary people recorded for prosperity in an exhibition called Portrait.
Each image stands alone as a snapshot in time.
Jane Satchwell, who works at the NMRC explained: "When our volunteer photographers go out to take pictures of various buildings around the country, they often take pictures of the people who live or work there as well.
"The portraits form a wonderful document of social history and will I am sure be fascinating for people in years to come."
The exhibition runs until Sunday, June 30. The gallery is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm weekly, including bank holidays.
The NMRC houses a collection of more than 10 million images, mostly of architecture and ariel shots dating back to the dawn of photography in the late 1800s.
Free tours of the NMRC will leave the Gallery at 2.15 pm on May 18, June 15 and July 20. To book a place on the tours contact the gallery on 01793 414797.
